Led by Brock Q. Piper, our Young Artists program offers children who are in grades 3 – 5 in 2020 one of the highest standard art education courses available, with each aspect of the curricula carefully considered to ensure that every project is a developmental step in students’ individual creativity, and ability to focus on various fundamental skill processes.
In today’s society of immediate technological gratification, the process of art making provides students with an alternative creative outlet, and we endeavour to make the pursuit of excellent outcomes a fun and rewarding task within the age expectations of our programs.
In Term 2, classes will be facilitated online through live virtual classrooms on the platform Zoom. Our young artists will spend each week developing a series of drawing and watercolour focused projects, with each student to receive their own artists kit full of materials to help them complete their pieces at home. Class sizes are strictly limited and have an atmosphere that is inspiring but structured, with a beginning, middle and end to each process so that students learn not only about art but about effort and consistency.
