Drawing & Painting for Teenagers

Art Encounters teenager program concentrates on teaching students advanced disciplines in drawing and painting. Students learn much at an adult level: how to render realism, how to build tone and structure, how to understand colour, how to use paint and how to build works that represent their vision, character and interests.
Students are taught through a mixture of observational drawing and painting projects, copies of Master Painters and development of individual projects. We work hard on linking technical knowledge, historical precendents (as in past artists) and the individual creative direction of each student.
This program is an excellent support for students studying art at a VCE level who are aiming to enter tertiary art courses after school. It is also a vital and exciting program for creative high school students of any age who are very interested in fine arts and find fulfillment in the pursual of its learning.
Please Note: Not all materials are provided for in the teens program, a materials list will be handed out before term begins. You are most welcome to purchase them through our school, this will be available for pick-up on the first day of class upon order.
