In this group we focus on building both drawing and painting skills as well as the students understanding of art and self-expression. This class follows the general curriculum of the school and includes units in sculpture and printmaking.

Open Studio for Young Artists - Level 2/3

Age Group: 8 -14 years
Time: Saturdays 11.30 am - 1 pm
Campus: Allison Road
Teachers: Anita Lester/Amelie Scalercio

This class enables children to work on their own projects that include painting, drawing, mixed media and sculpture.

While still following the subject format of the curriculum, this class is for the more spirited student who likes doing "their own thing" but still needs some framework and structure.

Students will be extended within their own individual framework of knowledge by being encouraged to study artists with whom they can relate and investigate new materials, formats and styles.

The atmosphere of our workshops are dynamic and exciting with children busily working on their projects with plenty of direction and tuition.
