Short Courses for the Absolute Beginner
Drawing and Painting for Beginners Levels One and Two
Art Encounters' has over the past 10 years developed excellent introductory courses that cover the essential basic elements that people need to understand in art practice.
The courses offer students a clear idea of where their interests and where their strengths lie.
Each course involves 4 weeks of drawing and 4 weeks of painting projects. The level one program examines the very basic elements of drawing and painting principles including measuring, proportion, tone and basic colour theory. At level two students extend on these processes while looking at perspective, light and shade, form in life drawing and portrait painting.
Materials used in this program include pencil, charcoal and acrylic paint.
The cost of all materials is included in the Drawing and Painting for Beginner programs thus enabling participants to experience the processes without investing money into materials.
These courses are followed on with the Art Discovery courses.
Suitable for the absolute beginner - no experience or prior education necessary!
