Ongoing One Year Programs
Students are welcome to join ongoing one year programs throughout the year. These are great follow up courses for students who have completed the Drawing and Painting for Beginner programs or undertaken short courses at other art schools.

Art Discovery Level One - Drawing and Painting

This level one Art Discovery course has been developed for students who have completed Drawing and Paintings for Beginners and would like to continue studying on a regular basis.
Participants alternate fortnightly between drawing and painting processes and are introduced to concepts of space, tone and colour. Students work from observational studies including still life and life models using drawing media and acrylic paints.
This course is appropriate for beginners.
Art Discovery Painting (acrylics)

Students study the application of paint and develop a complex understanding of this medium that results in rich and informed combinations of colour and tone.
Using observational studies including still life, life models and life portraiture participants build up a set of strong painting skills while producing an ever evolving body of painting studies.
This course is appropriate for beginners to advanced students serving as both an excellent introductory method into painting as well as a tool for enrichment with more established artists.
Art Discovery Drawing

Art Discovery Drawing teaches students how to develop clear and articulate observational drawings in a variety of medium including charcoal, pencil, ink and paint.
This is an intensive program that is aimed at rapid development of the students ability to accurately represent what they are seeing. Methods covered include form, space, line, tone, volume, composition and renderring approaches and methods.
Suitable for beginner to advanced students.
