This is the one year ongoing version of our signature 8-week beginners drawing and painting course which is suitable for beginners and intermediate students. Unlike the 8 week program, students will investigate processes and techniques over longer periods. Excellent for students who are able to continue from term to term and as a follow on to the 8 week course.

This class will provide students will essential drawing and painting skills for those seeking further studies or who are currently studying and need extra curriculum. It is also excellent for those pursuing their own personal artistic development.
The course will being with a strong emphasis on technical and observational drawing where students will learn to draw a combination of still life and figure drawing. This will lead to a more personal approach in later stages which will bring out the individuality in each student.
Participants will receive training in the following principles: line and tonal variation, form and shape, space and composition, structure, texture, colour theory and perspective. Participants will also learn to work and control the following media: charcoal, graphite, pastels (dry and oil), conte, acrylic paint, oil paint, watercolour, gouache, ink, collage and mixed media.
This class is suitable for intermediate to advance students.
