Teacher Training Program
Art Encounters is looking for drawing and painting teachers. We are seeking the following skills in our staff:
- Structural Drawing and Painting.
- An understanding of anatomy.
- A good knowledge of colour theory.
- A sincere interest in teaching.
Applicants will be required to attend a drawing and painting session at our studios where all basic materials will be supplied. Successful applicants will be selected according to their skills and approach during that session. Final selection of staff will follow interviews and a training session. Please note that successful applicants will be trained and directed to work within the context of our school curriculum.

The following materials will be supplied at this workshop:
- Bulky newsprint
- Pencils
- Student quality acrylic paint
Staff for Children's Program
Art Encounters also teaches children. We are interested in hearing from possible teachers who have the following skills:
- A degree in Fine Arts
- A Bachelor of Education
- A valid Working with Children Check
- A current certificate in First Aid.
- Strong structural drawing and painting skills.
- An interest in teaching children.
- An enthusiastic disposition.
- Creative approaches to teaching.
Positions in our children's programs usually involve between 4 and 8 hours of regular work per week as well as extra work during school holiday programs.
